This page is where you can find the latest information about how our congregation is responding to the current realities related to the split within The United Methodist denomination and the upcoming General Conference in 2024. Below are various links to different events and information pages. Please know that as it regards a congregational vote, Port Huron First United Methodist church has NOT taken a vote. If the decision is made to take a vote, information will be provided on this page.

Events/Meeting Dates

Here are some important events and dates. Events will be added to this page as they are scheduled.

  1. March 5, 2023 – 11:30am congregational informational meeting in the sanctuary. Rev John Hice will talk about what would entail remaining a part of The United Methodist Church. AUDIO RECORDING OF THIS EVENT IS A LINK BELOW.
  2. March 20, 2023 – 6:00pm congregation informational meeting in the sanctuary. Rev. Dan Bowman will talke about what would entail disaffiliating from The United Methodist Church and also aligning with The Global Methodist Church.
