Dear Interested Parents and Children,

Greetings from the staff of Kids Discovery Network 2021! The First United Methodist Church of Port Huron is hosting a day camp for any children between the ages of 7 and 12. We would like to extend an invitation to your child(ren) to join us for the six weeks of KDN!

Our daily activities include breakfast, devotions, worship, reading/journal time, lunch, a Bible-related lesson, crafts, and a snack to end the day. This program runs Monday through Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Every Thursday, our KDN group will go on a field trip! In the past, these trips have ranged from a trip to the beach to going to the Detoit Zoo. It all depend on what we have planned for our kids this summer.

KDN and the field trips are free to all children who attend, and you will never be asked to cover any costs. All costs have been paid through the donations from the Port Huron First United Methodist Church and the Michigan Conference of The United Methodist Church.

Due to COVID-19, children will be required to wear a face covering during the duration of the program unless the governor lifts the mask mandate, at which time we will no longer require face coverings. It will be left up to individual families to decided at that point. While face coverings are required, the children will be allowed to remove them while eating and during highly intensive activities. We will also be encouraging social distancing and frequent hand-washing.

The following forms will be need to be completed as part of the registration process.

  1. Registration form
  2. Medical/Emergency Contact Information Form
  3. Parent/Guardian Consent Form

These forms may be completed using your computer or printed-off and completed by hand. As email attachments, please send them to phfumc@gmail.com.
