Emrick-Sharp Memorial Scholarship Application

Port Huron First United Methodist Church (PHFUMC) has been entrusted to administer the Emrick-Sharp Memorial Scholarship, which was established in honor of H. Charles Emrick, Metta Sharp, and Veral Sharp with respect to their love and pursuit of music; Lee B. Sharpt and Earl Sharp with respect to the ministry; Florence L. Emrick and Daniel L. Emrick with respect to education; Michael R. Emrick with respect to broadcasting; and Joyce A. Emrick with respect to cosmetology.

All may apply but a grant shall be made to a student in the following order of priority:

  1. Members of Port Huron First United Methodist Church
  2. Members of other congregations of Christian denominations
  3. The general population of St. Clair County, Michigan.

A student may be granted up to four annual scholarships and must reapply each year. Granting of scholoarships is not guaranteed and will depend on the current financial market. Scholarships will be paid directly to the school that the applicant will be attending.
