Drew was appointed to Port Huron First UMC in July 2020, right in the middle of the coronavirus pandemic! During that first summer, very little of the city’s usual life and festivities were up and running, so it was a relatively quiet first year. However, the vaccine opened things up quite a bit the following spring, and once face coverings were no longer required, Drew finally had the opportunity to see people truly face-to-face! Despite the challenges of that first year, it was a good start.

Drew’s wife is Caroline Hart, and they’ve been married for over 30 years. They have an adult daughter, Rachel, who resides outside of Michigan. Two cats, Lucy and Gus, have free range of the parsonage.

Prior to coming to Port Huron, Pastor Drew served at Adrian First UMC, Millington UMC, The Church of the Straits (Mackinaw City), and Lake Orion First UMC. During an eight-year leave of absence between Millington and Adrain, Drew was the direct-hire Associate Pastor at his home church, Ann Arbor: West Side UMC.

Drew enjoys reading, running, dad jokes, technology, and spending time at their cottage.
