*Hymn – “Come with Thanksgiving”† – (Tune: Morning Has Broken)

  1. Come with thanksgiving, graced by God’s presence:
    faithfully giving, come lift your voice.
    Offer your treasure, a fragrant incense,
    show God your pleasure. Come and rejoice!
  2. Come, as a blessing, in love and kindness,
    your gift professing what you believe.
    From your abundance, witness for justice,
    heed the commandments, share, and relieve.
  3. Come in communion with all the grateful.
    For a glad union with all who care.
    Let your thanksgiving join with all people
    in gracious living, love that we share.

*Song – “My Tribute” – UMH #99(1x)

To God be the glory
To God be the glory
To God be the glory
For the things He has done

With His blood He has saved me
With His power He has raised me
To God be the glory
For the things He has done

Scripture Reading – Psalm 126

1When the LORD changed Zion’s circumstances for the better,
    it was like we had been dreaming.
2Our mouths were suddenly filled with laughter;
    our tongues were filled with joyful shouts.
It was even said, at that time, among the nations,
    “The LORD has done great things for them!”
3Yes, the LORD has done great things for us,
    and we are overjoyed.
4LORD, change our circumstances for the better,
    like dry streams in the desert waste!
5Let those who plant with tears
    reap the harvest with joyful shouts.
6Let those who go out,
    crying and carrying their seed,
    come home with joyful shouts,
    carrying bales of grain!

*Hymn – “Now Thank We All Our God” – UMH #102

  1. Now thank we all our God, with heart and hands and voices,
    who wondrous things has done, in whom this world rejoices;
    who from our mothers’ arms has blessed us on our way
    with countless gifts of love, and still is ours today.
  2. O may this bounteous God through all our life be near us,
    with ever joyful hearts and blessed peace to cheer us;
    and keep us still in grace, and guide us when perplexed;
    and free us from all ills, in this world and the next.
  3. All praise and thanks to God the Father now be given;
    the Son, and him who reigns with them in highest heaven;
    the one eternal God, whom earth and heaven adore;
    for thus it was, is now, and shall be evermore.

    hill and vale, and tree and flower, sun and moon, and stars of light; (Refrain)
  3. For the joy of ear and eye, for the heart and mind’s delight,
    for the mystic harmony linking sense to sound and sight; (Refrain)

    friends on earth and friends above, for all gentle thoughts and mild; (Refrain)
  5. For thy church, that evermore lifteth holy hands above,
    offering up on every shore
    her pure sacrifice of love; (Refrain)
  6. For thyself, best Gift Divine, to the world so freely given,

Lyrics to Special Music

Thanksgiving (A Medley of Hymns)

Alleluia!  Alleluia!  Raise the song of harvest home!  Come, ye thankful people come; raise the song of harvest home.  All is safely gathered in ere the winter storms begin.  God, our Maker, doth provide for our wants to be supplied; come to God’s own temple, come, raise the song of harvest home.  Sing to the Lord of harvest, sing songs of love and praise; with joyful hearts and voices your alleluias raise. By Him the rolling seasons in fruitful order move; sing to the Lord of harvest a joyous song of love;  Alleluia!  Alleluia!  Sing to the Lord an alleluia!  Now thank we all our God, with heart and hands and voices, who wondrous things hath done, in whom this world rejoices; who, from our mother’s arms, hath blessed us on our way, with countless gifts of love, and still is ours today; Alleluia!  Alleluia! Raise the song of harvest home!

All Praise to You, My God, This Day

All praise to You, my God, this day,
For all thy blessings we do pray.
Keep me, O keep me, King of kings,
Beneath thine own almighty wings.

Forgive me, Lord, for thy dear Son,
the ill that I this day have done.
That with the world, myself, and thee,
I, ere I sleep, at peace may be.

O may my soul on thee repose,
And with sweet sleep mine eyelids close,
Sleep that may me more vigorous make
To serve my God when I awake.

Praise God, from whom all blessings flow;
Praise Him all creatures here below;
Praise Him above, ye heav’nly host;
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
